FILL: Fly Away With You 5/??
“It’s good for you!” Adam protests as Tommy unlocks his door. “And it’s not—“

“Full of preservatives and shit that hardens your arteries by the time you’re thirty-five, yeah, I know,” Tommy cuts him off. “I’ll see you for soundcheck tomorrow, yeah?”

“Sure thing. Get some sleep,” Adam tells him, and Tommy nods before Adam heads off to the lift. Tommy shuts the door, splashes some water on his face, and flops onto his bed. Something hard pokes him in the side, and he rolls over to see his messenger bag, probably dropped there by Isaac.

Tommy digs into it, pulls out the little leather journal, and flips open his phone to the note with Singapore contacts listed in it. He finds Adam’s room number and climbs off the bed to head out to the lift, wondering if Adam got anything fun in his room this time. He usually stays in the same rooms as everyone else, but a lot of places like to leave him chocolates or special drinks or something from some local shop, and as a rule he shares the goodies with everyone else.

Adam’s room is one of those annoying as fuck all-the-way-down-the-hall-around-the-corner-to-the-end-in-this-nook-you-can-barely-see things, great for privacy and inconvenient as hell for everything else. Tommy knocks quietly, not sure if Adam’s awake and reading or in the shower or maybe even already asleep, glad to hear Adam call from inside.

Adam pokes his head out, and for the first time Tommy’s seen in a long time he looks worried. “Hey,” he greets, and when Tommy comes in he sees Adam’s bag dumped all over the bed—a half-eaten bag of sunflower seeds and three different kinds of currency mixed with Adam’s earbuds and makeup bag.

“Hey, if you’re looking for this, I think I grabbed it by mistake today,” Tommy tells him, holding out the journal. He grins. “Apparently some fan of yours has my taste in journals, huh?”

“Uh—“ Tommy knows the look on Adam’s face as soon as he sees it; he’s never actually seen Adam lie, but this is what it looks like, he’s sure of it. “Yeah. Sure. How much of it did you read?” he asks, and Tommy shrugs.

“Not a whole lot. Enough to know I’m gonna be the short little blonde elf to your fans forever,” he says. “Unless it belongs to one of the girls?”

“It—“ Tommy can tell from the look on Adam’s face that he’s pinned, but pinned how Tommy can’t quite—

“Wait,” Tommy murmurs. “Wait just a sec. That’s where the freckles went. It was you.”

“M-e?” Adam doesn’t quite stutter, but Tommy can hear him wanting to. He thinks about getting pissed and then thinks about the things Adam could be doing instead of writing his own entertainment—burned out before his time on street shit or alcohol or wiped out by AIDS, being soothed through withdrawal instead of soothing his friends through grief—and decides Adam doesn’t need anger right now.

“Yeah, you,” Tommy answers. He’s still holding the journal, and finally he lets it hang by his side instead of holding it out. “I should’ve known nobody could be that anal-retentive about my fingernails and miss these.” He reaches out his other hand to brush a finger over the freckles just below Adam’s lips. Adam flinches like he’s been hit.

“Don’t.”

Tommy lets his hand fall back. He’s probably already fired—Adam won’t kick him off, but Neil’s worse than a pissed mother bear where his brother’s security is concerned and Monte isn’t far behind—but Adam’s his friend, and Tommy doesn’t have any interest in hurting him.

“You know, if you’d told me, we could’ve talked about this ages ago,” Tommy scolds. “If writing bad porn is the worst thing you do on this tour to cope I think we’re all way ahead.”

Bad porn?” Adam says, and if Tommy’s not fired Adam can deal with a hit and if he is then it won’t matter anyway, so Tommy holds up the book.

“Tip number one: I’m not a virgin. Tip number two: I don’t have the coordination to be ‘lithe’.” He takes a step closer to Adam and tosses the book on the bed. “And tip number three: if you’re gonna spend five months kind of hinting around about what you want and carrying a book full of sex fantasies when you can’t even make yourself say ‘cock’ in something you wrote because you’re too busy rhapsodizing about my eyebrows, you damn well better be ready to deliver.”

Re: FILLED: Modern Romance 4
THIS IS THE HOTTEST THING. OMG. Like, I already loved it because you injected humor right from the start, and I also love fics where the people involved are having fun exploring each other. But I was seriously drooling onto my keyboard by the end there. OMG. Amazing, delicious writing ♥

Right???? It's like...I'm pretty sure what's going to happen, and I don't WANT it to go that way (cause I'm such a greedy comfort whore as well as the hurt) but I can't look away. I just can't.

Re: FILLED: Modern Romance 4
*first feedback I've left on this meme at all ever*

...wtf did I just read THAT WAS FUCKING AMAZING. I love that Tommy isn't just auto-expert, but still manages to have fun with it. Liked that you portrayed oral as something it's possible for both partners to get into, too; I usually see it portrayed as something the giver is doing just for the receiver and that there can't be any pleasure in giving.

WRITE MORE.

Re: FILL: Fly Away With You 6/??
Adam just stands there staring at him, either stupefied into indecision or trying to wrap his head around the idea that Tommy didn’t start screaming at him and walking out, and finally Tommy just throws his arms over Adam’s shoulders and leans up to kiss him because someone has to get started before Tommy chickens out, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be Adam.

The kiss is nothing that would ever get an American audience screaming—there’s no tongue and except for Adam’s hand sliding automatically down Tommy’s side to his waist, they don’t even move until Tommy can’t hold himself up on his toes anymore. But there’s a sweetness in it that doesn’t exist in the stage version, a kind of warmth Tommy appreciates not in spite of its quiet intimacy but because of it, and yeah, okay, he’s starting to fall prey to Adam’s kind of sixteen-year-old-girl descriptions here, but it’s nice, not hot or deliberately sexy or calculated to make fangirls go wild but just nice, and maybe it deserves a teen-girl description.

Adam blinks at him as he finally lets himself down from his ridiculous almost-en pointe position. “You’re straight?” he says, and the way he says it—not like Tommy just kissed him but more like Tommy just used the I-have-a-girlfriend excuse—is almost enough to make Tommy crack up.

“I thought so too, but I think you bent it,” Tommy tells him, and after staring at him for a moment Adam’s mouth curves up in the kind of small grin that doesn’t usually make his promo photos. Tommy scrabbles together some courage and squeezes a little tighter around Adam’s waist. “So is that thing just a way to blow off stress or . . . ?” And he can’t quite get the end of the sentence out around Adam tensing up, so he just shuts up and switches over to rubbing Adam’s back with the heel of one hand.

“Nobody was supposed to find it,” Adam answers, and Tommy can hear the tension creeping back into his voice. He tries to keep his own voice calm; Adam isn’t a horse, but he reacts to other people’s voices the same way Tommy’s heard horses do, and if Tommy gets agitated Adam isn’t going to be far behind.

“No shit, Sherlock. I guess if I’m picking between you writing about blowing me and you doing blow, I’ll take you writing about blowing me. I’d kind of like to keep you around for awhile.”

Adam mumbles something into Tommy’s hair. Tommy just goes on stroking his back. “I’m not going to tell you I’m looking for some kind of Sleeping Beauty story,” Tommy says. “I don’t know if I’m up for anything like that. Fuck, I don’t even know why thinking about sucking you off got me hard today.” He tips his head back, trying to make Adam look at him, and finally comes to the conclusion that isn’t going to happen. “But if you want to try to fill in a few answers for me instead of spending your night writing about, shit, alabaster skin or whatever the fuck it was I’m not gonna say no.”

For being such a top (and Tommy’s pretty sure by now a lot of that’s bullshit talking, Adam might like being the one on top but he isn’t a top, he’s too lovey for that, master of pain Tommy’s nonexistent ass), Tommy thinks, Adam’s stupidly shy, curling his fingers under the edge of Tommy’s shirt and stopping there. Tommy reaches for his hand and pushes it up under his shirt, against his stomach. “Why do you write that shit?” he asks again, sliding his own hands up the back of Adam’s shirt to press against his shoulderblades. “Just killing time or stress or were you planning on changing out the names and publishing it as one of those top-shelf novels under a fake name someday?”

Adam slides his other hand into Tommy’s hair. “First two, I guess.” Tommy can’t see his face, but he can hear the blush in Adam’s voice. “People want to believe I’m out making it with groupies, but that kind of shit is dangerous. And not the good kind.” He pauses. “Tommy?”

“Yeah?”

“You’re not bullshitting, right?” Tommy looks up again, and this time Adam’s looking down at him, and even when Tommy’s ignoring the freckles that expression makes Adam look like sixteen is pushing it. “When you said you wanted to try—“
